``Sparsham`` Saves the Day: Local Donkey Owner Credits Initiative for Saving His Animal

Donkey owner Ram Ibitdar from Sagroli, (Tq. Biloli, Dist. Nanded), recently witnessed a harrowing incident where one of his donkey injured another’s leg by biting it.

The wound was severe, causing heavy bleeding. Fearing for his animal’s life, Ram immediately reached out to Bhaskar Buchchalwar, a veterinary assistant from Dharma Donkey Sanctuary’s “Sparsham” project. Timely intervention from “Sparsham” ensured prompt treatment for the injured donkey. Within 15 days, the donkey was fully recovered and back to work.

Ram shared that previously, similar incidents often resulted in the loss of donkeys due to lack of proper care. However, “Sparsham” has been a game changer, providing timely veterinary checkups and treatments, leading to improved health and productivity of his donkeys.

Ram’s family relies entirely on the income generated by their 14 donkeys. His family of four depends on these animals for their livelihood. Therefore, their health and well-being are crucial. The “Sparsham” initiative has not only ensured the treatment of his donkeys but also conducted thorough examinations and disinfections. Vaccination is planned for the near future.

“Sparsham” has provided Ram with peace of mind, as he now has confidence in the future health of his donkeys. This initiative has not only enhanced the well-being of the animals but also significantly impacted the lives of their owners.
